ASTM A563 Hex Head Nuts is a molybdenum bearing austenitic chromium nickel steel with alloy content somewhat higher than the other grades. All common hot working processes are possible with ASTM A563 Square Nuts, because slow speeds, heavy feeds and sharp tooling will serve to improve machinability. For this reason a low heat input in ASTM A563 Lock Nuts along with a maximum inter-pass temperature of 100 Degree C should be used. The increase of Pitting Resistance Equivalent in ASTM A563 Eye Nuts means a better corrosion resistance in environments containing chlorides. ASTM A563 Wing Nuts is a molybdenum containing, low carbon austenitic stainless steel with increased additions of chromium, nickel, and molybdenum. These ASTM A563 T Nuts are considerably more resistant than any of the other chromium-nickel types to solutions of sulfuric acid.
ASTM A563 Panel Nuts is used in Cross Country Pipe Line for Gas & Water, Atomic Energy, Thermal, Nuclear and Solar Power Plants, sugar industry, hydro carbon process, Sewage & Water well Industry. ASTM A563 Coupling Nuts is molybdenum-bearing austenitic steel with greatly increased resistance to chemical attack as compared to the conventional chromium-nickel austenitic steels. ASTM A563 Dome Nuts are also more resistant to general corrosion and pitting / crevice corrosion than the conventional chromium-nickel austenitic steels.
